GenTran 6-Circuit Prewired Manual Transfer Switch Kit

This generator transfer switch Kit includes everything you'll need to safely feed generator power to a home or business during an outage, and is compatible with virtually any portable generator up to 7500 watts (continuous/rated). This kit includes a prewired 6-circuit transfer switch, a 10 foot power cord, a 30 amp aluminum, raintight power inlet box, and an extra 20 amp plug (NEMA L14-20) to accommodate generators up to 5000 watts.

You can power up 6 to 10 essential circuits during a power outage or emergency like your furnace blower (gas or oil only), refrigerator and kitchen circuits, well pump, lights, and television. If your needs change, your installer can easily expand this transfer switch to up to 10 circuits just by adding more circuit breakers. The enclosure can be surface mounted indoors in a dry location like a basemet, interior room or garage. Because it was designed with off-the-shelf circuit breakers, you don't have to search high and low for replacements, and your installer can reconfigure the breaker combinations to suit your family's needs.

This transfer switch comes with dual wattmeters to help you balance generator loads evenly to prolong generator life. The switch includes two 15-amp 1-pole breakers, two 20-amp 1-pole breakers, and one 2-pole 20 amp breaker. Mount the power inlet box on an exterior wall outside away from doors and windows so hazardous fumes don't enter your home.

A 60-amp 2-pole main breaker is required in existing load center (not included). This switch accommodates Arc-Fault and GFCI breakers to meet the latest (2008) National Electric Code requirements. It also accommodates surge suppression breakers. The transfer switch is UL Listed with breakers from Siemens, Square D (HOM), Cutler-Hammer (BR), and GE (THQL).
